Book 03: Subtraction

Subtracting is the system of just taking away the rest of the number. Watch say you have 8-3=? as a homework problem. Use the number dot method[in book 02], then just count the difference of the two numbers' dots.

How?
  8= 8 dots
-3= 3 dots   HOW MANY MORE DOTS DOES 3 NEED TO GET TO 8?

                                         Yes, that's right 5. And that's how you subtract.

Book02: Number Dot Method

The Number Dot Method is simple. Just at each corner put the amount of dots each number is worth!
Example:
4= 4 dots[1 at each corner]
Simple right?

And that's the NUMBER DOT METHOD!

Book 01: Addition

Addition is the process of putting everything together as one. Math is all about putting things together. So its important to know how to do to so.

Addition Skills

  • in addition it doesn't matter what order you add the number up in
  • make sure all the numbers are lined up
  • if needed use the number dot method[a seperate book will be added next]
  • EXAMPLE:
  4           <- top number, notice how's it smaller-ORDER DOESN'T MATTER
+6           <- notice how the number is line up with the top number
_____     <- equal sign
? [it equals 10, just to let you know] <-answer
